POETRY IN ACTION A Friend Like You

A friend like you means more to me than anything money can buy.
You have always been there for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on.
And you always greet me with your smiling face.
You truly understand my deepest thoughts and fears.
And have always been there to wipe away my tears.
Through these hard times, somehow,
You have found a way to lift some of the weight from my shoulders.
And have given me a reason to smile again.
You help me deal with the hard times
By making me look at the good things in life.
And you are always able to make me feel loved and important.
And for this I thank my Heavenly Father for truly blessing me with a friend like you.
MY BEST FRIEND

I never thought that you could be A true friend who's dear to me
When I'm in frail you give me strength To help me grow and make me stand
Through thick and thin you're always there
Though we see each other so rare
Sharing and remembering those laughters and pains we both knew
Time had passed , others have been gone
Still you remain beside me whom I can lean on
To continue those moments of time we've shared

Saying Goodbye

Well I guess this is goodbye
I guess this is the end
After all the tears that I've cried
I really have to say goodbye.
I can't say I'm glad it's over
But I know its for the best
I once was your friend and lover
Now history will write the rest ...
I don't know if I'll ever love again
If I will find my 'one and only'
But I hope that in the end
You don't ever wind up lonely
I'll miss what we had
Back when it was good
Before it all turned bad I gave you all that I could

Where should I begin
Where should I start
How about the moment
You captured my heart
I think it was your smile
Or maybe it was your frown
But either way you turned my world upside down
We shared lots of memories
And time sure did fly
And as I sit here now I know the reasons why I cared about you
You cared about me too
But I never did get my chance
To tell you "thank you"
Almost 3 months later I look back with delight
I totally understand now
You were just so right Life takes its course
While we both move on Time healing everything
All the right and all the wrong
Through all the smiling

Maybe we weren't meant to be together

I was afraid to talk to you...

WELL here's a few reasons why guys like girls
1. They will always smell good even if its just shampoo
2. The way their heads always find the right spot on our shoulder
3. How cute they look when they sleep
4. the ease in which they fit into our arms
5. the way they kiss you and all of a sudden everything is right in the world
6. How cute they are when they eat
7. The way they take hours to get dressed but in the end it makes it all worth while
8. because they are always warm even when its minus 30 outside
9. the way they look good no matter what they wear
10. The way they fish for compliments even though you both know that you think she's the most beautiful thing on this earth
12. the way her hand always finds yours
13. the way they smile
14. the way you feel when you see their name on the call ID after you just had a big fight
15. The way she says "lets not fight anymore" even though you know that an hour later....

It is better not to have the persons you love right now, but have
them later than be with them now but loose them forever.
In the gateway of my heart I put a sign that says, "No trespassing"
but love came laughing by and said, "I enter everywhere!"
Don't let each moment pass you by for within the twinkling of the eye, that moment
shall go and the feeling shall die, it might be too late when you open your eyes.
Love is supposed to be the most wonderful feeling. It should inspire you and give you
joy and strength. But sometimes, the things that give you joy can also hurt in the end.
It's always better to have found the courage to love even if you loose it in the end
rather than never finding love because you were too afraid to face its challenge.
The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and no to twist them to
fit our own image- otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.
It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and
a day to love someone-but it takes a life time to really forget someone.
Love knows no reasons. Love knows no lies-love defies all reasons,
love has no eyes. But love is not blind-love sees but it doesn't mind.
Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion, the
romance- and you find out you still care for that person.
Love starts with a smile, develops with a kiss and ends up in a tear.
Love comes to those who still hope even though they're been disappointed,
to those who still believe even though they're been betrayed; need to
love those who still love even thoughthey've been hurt before.
If you really love someone, put a circle around their name, not a heart,
cause heart is meant to be broken but a circle goes on forever.
It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return, but what is the most painful is to
love someone and never finding the courage to let that person know how you feel.
Never say goodbye when you still want to try- never give up when you still feel you
can take it- never say you don't love that person anymore when you cant let go.
Never try to impress someone to make him/her fall in love with you
because if you do, you'll have to keep that standard for the rest of your life.
To let go is not to deny, but to accept. To let go is not to regret the past but
to grow and live for the future/ to let go is to fear less and to love more.
Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll
love you back! Don't expect love in return, just wait for it to grow
in their hearts but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.
Have great hopes and dare to go all out for them. Have great dreams and
dare to live them. Have tremendous expectations and believe in them.
Friends are like stars. You can’t always
see them, but you know they're there.
Happiness is like a perfume; you can’t pour on
others without getting a few drops on yourself.
Immature love says, "I love you because I need you."
Mature love says, "I need you because I love you."
